Paneer Butter Masala

Paneer butter masala is an awesome side – dish on roti, Naan, Chapthi and excellent with rice. We need to make creamy base from onions and tomatoes. This is famous on north Indian recipe can be made very easily. Children are liking very much and healthy dish.

  • 200 gms Paneer
  • 3 Full Size Big Onion
  • 4 Full Size Tomato
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 tbsp Red Chily Powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 100 gms Butter
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Cream
  • 1/4 tbsp Methi
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Salt


  • Heat 1 tbsp butter in pan add chopped onions just cook for 2 mins. In same pan add chopped tomatoes cook for 2 mins. Once the mixture cools down transfer it to blender and grind it separately to smooth paste.
  • Heat 5 tbsp butter onion paste and Ginger garlic paste cook for slow flame in 5 mins. Then add chili powder, coriander powder and tomatoe puree mix well.
  • After mixing all the ingredients add paneer and required water and salt. Cover and simmer for 8-10 mins.
  • Once the gravy start thicker add Sugar (2 tbsp) & butter and mix well.
  • Once the gravy is ready garnish with it some methi and turn off the heat. Then add 1 tbsp of fresh cream on the top to serve.
  • Now our delicious Paneer butter masala is ready.
