Atrocities against women also occur in a world where women are said to be the eyes of the country. Despite claims that women are equal to men, there is no evidence of a reduction in crimes against women. Even today, various types of crimes against women continue to occur. Thus, a special day for the elimination of violence against women is observed to create awareness among the people about the violence against women.

According to a poll, 90 % of violence against women is perpetrated by close friends, relatives, and workplaces. Awareness should be created among people about protecting women’s rights, preventing and condemning violence against women and taking measures for women’s safety. On this day, let us make sure that we will make future generations aware of the importance of gender equality.
