Prawn Pepper Fry

Prawn pepper fry is quite simple, delicious and it is quite easy to make.  It is spicy, hot, and totally delicious. This pepper prawn are made with less spices and I have not added any chili powder instead i have added only pepper powder to enjoy the fullness of taste.

Ingredients

Ingredients for masala

  • 1 tbsp Pepper Corns
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds

Ingredients for Pepper Prawns

  • 1/2 kg Prawn
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 2 Cardamom pods
  • 3 Cloves
  • 2 Dry red chili
  • 250 gms Onion
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/4 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 3 Green chilies
  • Salt for aste
  • Water
  • Curry Leaves

Instructions

  • To make fresh masala for pepper prawn fry, in a blender add pepper corns and cumin seeds grind it to a fine powder.
  • Heat oil in pan and add the cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and dry red chilies.  Give it stir and add the finely chopped onions and saute for a mins or onion turns to golden brown.
  • Once the onion turns the golden add the turmeric powder, garam masala, Ginger garlic paste, Green chilies and the freshly ground masala and mix well.
  • Add some water to prevent the masala from burning. Add the cleaned and deveined prawns and mix well with the masalas.  Add some salt and required water and cook for 10 mins.
  • Once the prawns are nicely cooked add some freshly ground pepper powder to get more realistic and aroma. Finally garnish it with some curry leaves and turn off the heat.
  • The delicious Pepper prawn masala is ready…!
