Heat 3 tbsp ghee in a cooker, let’s melt the ghee. Now for flavoring add cardamom,cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon, cumin seeds and green chili and sauté 3mins.
Add sliced onion and sauté until golden. Add peas and sauté 3 mins. Add drained basmati rice. Fry for 2 to 3 mins on high flame. Add 2 cup water also add in required salt.
Mix it well and cover then cook for 1 whistle on medium flame. When the pressure goes off, open the lid.
You can add a bit more of ghee if desired. Add chopped coriander leaves mix it gently.
Now our delicious jeera rice is ready to be served.
