Mutton Curry Recipe
Mutton curry is an Indian curry dish that is prepared from mutton and vegetables. Although very popular in northern India, mainly in bengal region, the dish is found in different variations across all states, countrie sand regions of south Asia. Mutton Curry is one such thing which brightens the weekend. Mutton brings with itself the exotic tantalizing taste which is very addictive. This is an easy mutton curry recipe which is lot simplified but still delivers the taste of traditional mutton curry. The addition of freshly ground masala adds a lot of flavor to the mutton pieces.

Ingredients
- 1 kg Mutton
- 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp Fennel seeds
- 10 Dry red chili
- 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
- 1/4 cup Grated Coconut
- 10 Cashews
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 3 cloves
- 10-15 Small Onion (Shallots)
- 1 Tomato
- 1 tbsp Ginger and Garlic paste
- 1/2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 cup Coriander leaves
- Required Water
- Salt to Taste
Instructions
- To make fresh mutton masala first, heat a pan in medium flame add Coriander seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds and dry chili for sauté couple of minutes.
- Transfer the roasted spices to a blender and add cashews, coconut and grind it to a fine powder.
- Heat oil in cooker, add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves and add a cup of small onions and add required salt and saute until the shallots are golden brown.
- Once the onion is browned add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and the freshly ground mutton masala and give it a quick stir.
- Then add 1 chopped tomato and cook for a few minutes or until everything turns into paste.
- Add mutton pieces and mix it well with the gravy. Add required water and salt. Cover and cook for 5 whistles on a medium flame.
- You can see oil oozing out. Finally add some Chopped Coriander leaves and it is ready to serve.
